This hotel is really very special. It is absolutely charming and clean and you cannot beat the location. The Botanic gardens are part of the property. They are beautiful and the views here of the lake are stunning. The staff are extremely polite and helpful. They looked after our bags for us when we arrived early and also on the day we left, after our official check-out time. The breakfast in the morning, at the hotel is absolutely delicious- what a spread!

Absolutely amazing hotel with breathtaking views and only a 5 minute walk to the centre. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We stayed there for our honeymoon and got a lovely room with a jacuzzi and a view of Lake Como. Nothing bad to say. Definitely the best option. And many thanks to the hotel manager for her kindness and help in solving our problem.

The caretaker is friendly and makes an effort to provide excellent assistance. The breakfast is varied and of high quality. The rooms are of a decent size, with spacious bathrooms and fully equipped with electrical appliances. The location is close to the pier and not far from the train station, making it extremely convenient.

The hotel itself is very “ old school” and charming but not modern or glamorous but the location and the staff were amazing. I would recommend it if like my you want to see the lake at sunset, day and sunrise. It’s five minutes walk from Varenna- Esino station and one hour by train from Milano Centrale. Ferries run constantly to Bellagio and Menaggio.

The location was wonderful, with view from the swimming terrace to the Lake. It was idyllic. The owner/manager met us, and was very helpful throughout our (too short) stay, with recommendations regarding restaurants, ferries, places to visit, etc. The other staff also very friendly and helpful, even placing the sun loungers and sun umbrellas exactly where needed.
