Gawler
Built in 1870 and boasting a hot tub, free breakfast supplies and complimentary WiFi, Eagle Foundry Bed & Breakfast is located at the gateway to the world famous Barossa Valley wine district. Guests will find port wine and free chocolates in their room on arrival. We stayed at Thomson suite. When we opened the door, our jaws dropped. It was ten times more beautiful and quirky than we could ever imagine. It had a very artistic touch on everything and every corner, showing the very long history of the place as a foundry. Gorgeous brick walls exposed inside with outstanding skylight, windows, bar, pool, kitchen, woodburner fireplace and ... I was thinking of living there forever. Greg, the host, came to say hi, what a lovely man he is. He generously filled up the fridge for us, more than we could ever eat.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, set in a very picturesque location, surrounded by vineyards, and the whole hotel property is kept up to impeccable standards. The property is modern with all amenities you can think of, and the food is to die for. Anyone visiting must try their degustation menu. Staff were also extremely helpful and hospitable. Best place to stay in Barossa/ South Australia I would say.
We really appreciated the quality furnishings and the convenient location. The star show at night from the back verandah was sensational.

Rooms have been renovated since I was last there. Modern, clean and elegant. Best surprise was the bed. Amazingly comfortable.
This was a beautifully appointed and decorated home in a fabulous location, in a private block of units. the host was generous with bottled water, milk, wine and chocolate. we wanted for nothing. the beds were superbly comfortable, linen was of excellent quality and the gardens were well maintained.
