They went above and beyond to help accommodate parking and store our bags for us even after we had checked out of our room.

The nice thick robes were great. I slept like a baby both nights because the bed was massive and like sleeping on a cloud. Soaking in the Jacuzzi probably helped with too. Also amazing. I was also able to soak up some knowledge about the history of trains and the La Plata area. Fun fact, I was super impressed with learning about Lester Dent. Amazing guy. So visit the Depot, or Google him for a bad ass read. 😉 The main thing I would like to go on about in this review, was the staff. We stayed for 2 days, and every time we left the room, we were trested like family. I was really blown away by the level of customer service. When we checked in, the weather was nasty and it was late, the lady at the front desk had turned the heat on in our room in preparation for us. That was so kind of her. The entire staff was absolutely top notch. If you want to be treated like royalty and are looking for a diamond in the rough, here's your place.

But the most important thing to highlight was the people; Mr. Armstrong was very, very friendly, just like his assistant who received us the first night and congratulated us on our wedding, our waitress Angelica and even the bellhops were so kind and gentle. The hotel also, knowing that we would stay there for our honeymoon, left in our room a very kind card and chocolates. We love our stay!
