We loved the location in the middle of the bush. The amenities and the comfort are outstanding while eco responsible. The staff is absolutely lovely and very careful while being very professional. The food is excellent and changes every day, the walk games are wonderful even if of course you don't see as many animals as in cars...but the contact with the nature and the intercation with animals is unique...and our guide was so nice and skilled. I defintely recommend to anyone who wants to live a true expreience in the bush

We came here for the safari and it didn’t disappoint. We had six amazing game drives with Themba and Golden - absolute legends - where we saw plenty of animals from Leopard to Rhinos and everything in between. We had Aubrey to look after us throughout our stay - again, legend - and basically all staff there from management to housekeeping were just so amazingly kind and helpful. The 10-rating is without a doubt because of them.

The drives were exceptional, the tent is very well built, big bathroom. The meals were very tasteful. The Road is unpaved but if you go very slow you can reach the hotel with a normal car. The staff is very polite and helpful.

We absolutely loved simbavati river lodge and could not imagine a better safari experience for our family of 4. Special shoutout to our fantastic guide CJ for incredible sightings including the elusive white lion.

Our room was absolutely gorgeous, with two showers (one inside and one outside), a super comfy large bed, fluffy towels and great toiletry kits. FOOD IS INSANE! The best I had during my time in SA. Meals were often served in different places: bush breakfast, boma dinner, candlelight dinner… The team is fantastic: friendly and super professional. Our guides were incredibly knowledgeable and fun. The lodge itself is beautiful and unfenced, so we spotted many animals just outside the lodge.
