The property boasts two unique accommodation options. The luxury thatched tents as well as the Island Treehouse Suites. Each of the luxury tents are air-conditioned, constructed of canvas, glass and wood and each lead onto a private deck with a private plunge pool boasting views of the Zambezi River and natural bush. The Island Treehouse Suites are set upon stilts, raised into the treetops from the waters below. The double story Superior Stilted Suite appears suspend above the Zambezi River.

One of my best Africa experiences ever. Extremely friendly staff, helpful and fun.

The tent offers a private entrance, a dining area, as well as a shared bathroom boasting a walk-in shower. The unit has 2 beds.

Shoestrings Backpackers Lodge offers double, twin rooms and family rooms with private bathrooms. The dorms with bunk beds, dome tents and campsites have access to a communal bathroom.

The management at this place is great. Due to delays with my bus from Bulawayo, I arrived at Shoestrings at 2:30 am and was unable to inform them in advance due to lack of cell network. Luckily when I arrived, they were kind and understanding and were still able to quickly check me in. I stayed in the tent ("dome") and the beds were very comfortable. The wifi reached the tents and there were ports to charge my devices. The shared showers were clean, which is not always the case in other backpacker accomodations. The restaurant prices were also extremely reasonable and accessible for the low budget traveler. This place is very well located close to the falls and the bridge.

Located in Livingstone, Maramba River Lodge provides accommodation with access to a garden. Free WiFi is provided.

The location is exceptional with an amazing opportunity to see wildlife close by. Close by to any attractions, but still hidden in nature. The staff is very friendly and helpful in any matters. The location of the restaurant is priceless, watching hippos and elephants during breakfast, and the food is delicious for a great price.

What a great place to stay! We chose Shoestrings because it looked open relaxed and with a youthful vibe and it didn’t disappoint. The whole team were helpful and friendly and the beds comfy. The breakfast was a delight. As an adult family those over 60yrs and those under 30 had a brilliant time swimming and playing volleyball when not out and about
