This was our third visit to Shametu and it did not disappoint! We have camped before in the fantastic campsites but this time opted for a tented chalet on the river. Beautiful spacious accommodation with the HUGE bonus of zircon. We stayed on a half board basis and the food was very good. Great choice of wines too! We took one of our breakfasts on the river at a small extra charge. Well worth it! Tranquil with sightings of hippo, crocodile and a myriad of birds all pointed out to us by our excellent guide.

They also have a mosquito net and a bathroom. The staff were great very friendly and helpful. The area is incredibly beautiful, the boat cruise is a must we saw game buffalo, hippo and lions . The nice thing is the park is not crowded and you are always alone when viewing the wild animals.
