The food was nice, the staff was exceptionally friendly, spoke German and mostly English, the beach and the availability of sun chairs were always given. Snorkeling was great and the diving spot was in walking distance.

From the very first moment, everyone in the staff was so incredibly friendly, welcoming and most importantly very professional. Very special thanks to Mr. Mina Magdi at the front desk who was always very responsive to my questions/concerns an made sure I have an exceptional experience. I had a triple queen room with full sea view that comfortably fit myself and my family. The room was super clean the beds were very cozy. The spacious balcony along with the beautiful sea view was quite relaxing and peaceful. Very special thanks to Salah, the room service personnel, for who always making sure the room is up and beautiful and has everything we need. The food was delicious with ton of varieties offered all the time. The kitchen area was super clean and very nicely organized which is something I appreciated so much. The kitchen staff were very welcoming and never stopped asking us how we felt about the food quality and whether we need anything. I deeply appreciated their positive attitude more than anything else. Shout out to Chef Hossam and Al-Gazzar and to the server Sayed. The beach area was way more spacious than it looks in Bookings.com's photos and it was kept very clean all the time. The staff by the beach provided a wide vaiety of gear for so much fun water activties. Special thanks to Al-Doctor for being very helpful and nice. The animation shows were so much fun. Myself and my family had a phenomenal experience and we definitely are coming back to Iberotel later this summer/early winter.

The working desk and view of the penthouse are authentic and fantastic, the furniture and decoration are so calm, and for me, the fox picture over the working desk is millions of dollars in value :)

The rooms are great: big beds which pleased my 6ft/2m partner along with hairdryer, daily water, ample toiletries, robes/slippers and stocked fridge. Access to the diving centre (transfer to Sheraton marina - 15mins by bus) and kite school are on site. If you're looking for a quieter holiday, aim for a room in 6/7/8 block which is away from the main pool/reception area. The complex is easily accessible with ramps & lifts to the rooms plus the staff can provide their buggy to get you around if required. Downtown El Gouna is accessed by a TukTuk system which is fun, cheap and felt safe (25EGP). Alas, El Gouna lacks Egyptian authenticity but you will find bar/restaurant to suit most tastes. You will also find a supermarket here which is very good. The Movenpick is just one of the hotels on the complex - don't miss the opportunity to eat at some of the other hotels. We didn't find this out for some days of our arrival. If you're bored of buffet style, we can highly recommend the seafood restaurant on site - especially following all their efforts to provide a romantic dinner setting on the beach for my birthday. The service, food, atmosphere and music set up under the moonlight was a fabulous way to spend my birthday (Thank you team for all your work to make this happen!!). Guest services were very helpful and also the excursion staff. We booked an evening in Hurghada to include the museum/taxi/dinner at the marina. This was not on offer but they arranged everything at a very reasonable price using local people, which is very important when staying at a big chain hotel.

I'd give it 12 stars but the scale only goes up to 10. The place is amazing and if you want to relax and be treated exceptionally don't even bother searching for anything else.
