The owner was there to greet us and explained a few things, he was very friendly and brought us extra keys as we were all out and about at different times. The kids loved the games room and spent a lot of time in there. But it was the small touches that we liked like the food hamper and freshly laid local eggs!

Parking on the main road lay-by outside was easy as it was never that busy. Surrounding flats were very quiet. Bed was comfortable. plenty wardrobe space in double bedroom, nowhere to hang clothes in the twin, but space in hall cupboards if required. Wifi was easy to access, and steady.

Host was more than helpful and the breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. Surrounding area has something for everybody and worth exploring. Also plenty of golf courses in the area. Would certainly visit again, well recommended.

A full breakfast menu was available served with very friendly staff. Would recommend the Guest House.

We came to Dumfries for fishing and golf and we found plenty to do of a great standard.
