The house was perfect. Great communication with the owner. They let us in a couple of hours early as well. There were four adults in our group including me in a manual wheelchair. I could access the house via the garage. The front door has a step. The house was spacious and easy to get around. The house feels like it is only a few years old and is very clean and modern. There is a nice sheltered outdoor area with a BBQ and a table. Its only a few minutes drive from town. Very quiet. I booked this via Bookings.com and it said it was wheelchair accessible but for those people that are in a wheel chair here is some extra info. You will need another person to help you to reach the higher cupboards. You cannot get your wheelchair under the sink and the kitchen tops are a bit high so you might need someone else to wash dishes and help you in the kitchen. The dining table is long and has plenty of room to get your chair under it. The laundry area is accessible and you can reach both the washing machine and the dryer. There is two rooms with a double bed and one room with a bunk bed. The biggest room has an on suite which the commode can fit over the toilet but its a tight squeeze. The commode will not fit through the shower door unless you take the wheels off and reassemble it in the shower. Then you will need someone to lift you into the shower. The bed is a good height for transferring and is very comfortable. There is plenty of room on both sides of the bed for the wheelchair. All cupboards are closed in ie you cannot get your legs under any sinks.

The property was very comfortable and spacious. View from our room was amazing. There is a kitchenette (no oven, but has a rice cooker). You do need a car of taxi/uber to get into town as there is no restaurant near by. Everything was great. Will definitely stay there again.

Wanaka was experiencing quite strong winds during our stay which were 'toned down' somewhat in the chalets position away from the waterfront.
