The hotel is just above the main street and is a 10 minute walk from the station, and 3 minutes uphill from the main street, which makes it a bit more of a quiet area and is a nice place to relax. The views from the balcony (off of the room) of the valley were stunning. The staff were so friendly and helpful - we wouldn't hesitate to stay the next time we are in the area. We only had the breakfast which featured many local products which was super nice to have to get your day started.

The outskirt of city centre offers jaw dropping view of Grindelwald, especially sunset and night skies. The place house itself is old and some part of it is dirty (spider webs etc) but overall cleanliness and tidy is within acceptable range. The house can easily sleep 12 guests, spacious common area, kitchen has everything we need and the host is super responsive. Would definitely recommend and come again.

The staff were incredible helpful, and gave us great suggestions for hikes to do. The room was comfy and the hostel was quiet. The location was great as the bus stop was just outside and we were right next to the train station, which was convenient. The lodge’s restaurant was also good for a quick cheap eat. Also seemed to have lots of communal areas, pool table, etc if you wanted things to do.

The room was very spacious, there were many shower stalls and toilets one floor below my room. The breakfast was really nice, eggs, muesli, milk, juice, fruit, bread, cheese and cereal. Really great location close to 2 train stations and 2 cable car stations. The first bahn cable car is a bit far up the hill but with the bus card u get from the hotel u can easily take the bus. Overall great hostel, great location.
