Situated in the car-free Wengen in the Jungfrau Region, Hotel Berghaus enjoys a quiet location surrounded by the Bernese Alps. The Männlichen Cable Car and the village centre are only a short walk away.

The hotel is just above the main street and is a 10 minute walk from the station, and 3 minutes uphill from the main street, which makes it a bit more of a quiet area and is a nice place to relax. The views from the balcony (off of the room) of the valley were stunning. The staff were so friendly and helpful - we wouldn't hesitate to stay the next time we are in the area. We only had the breakfast which featured many local products which was super nice to have to get your day started.

The holiday home is located in the middle of urban and city area, which is nice. It is one bus ride (5mins) away from city center. The outskirt of city centre offers jaw dropping view of Grindelwald, especially sunset and night skies. The place house itself is old and some part of it is dirty (spider webs etc) but overall cleanliness and tidy is within acceptable range. The house can easily sleep 12 guests, spacious common area, kitchen has everything we need and the host is super responsive. Would definitely recommend and come again.

Breakfast was delicious and had a great selection (and vegan/vegetarian options too). The staff were incredible helpful, and gave us great suggestions for hikes to do. The room was comfy and the hostel was quiet. The location was great as the bus stop was just outside and we were right next to the train station, which was convenient. The lodge’s restaurant was also good for a quick cheap eat. Also seemed to have lots of communal areas, pool table, etc if you wanted things to do.

We stayed in the basement with the bunk beds, together with other hikers. Quiet room with 12 beds. Showers and toilets at the same level. Good food: dinner and breakfast. Simple but tasty. A great host who is truly making you feel welcome and home.

Convenient yet quiet location in the center of Grindelwald. Free parking. Grocery shop, bus stop and bars and restaurants just up the road. Nice breakfast, even for vegans with fresh fruit salad and plant based milk on request. Very friendly hosts. We loved the little common tea/dining corner equipped with a fridge and kettle.

I stayed at Eiger for 5 nights in a dorm room with 6 beds. The room was very spacious, there were many shower stalls and toilets one floor below my room. The breakfast was really nice, eggs, muesli, milk, juice, fruit, bread, cheese and cereal. Really great location close to 2 train stations and 2 cable car stations. The first bahn cable car is a bit far up the hill but with the bus card u get from the hotel u can easily take the bus. Overall great hostel, great location.

The beds are comfortable, and the atmosphere is very welcoming. There is an area where you can make a campfire and plenty of common areas with beautiful views. Dom and Roman are great hosts too! It’s quite a bit of a hike up if you choose to walk up, but once you get to the hostel the views are amazing and the location is nice and quiet.

Despite the hostel is not in the city center, it has its own entertainment like the bar which is a great idea, and it is very close to the bahn as well, so for going skiing is great location.Very good for young people who wants to have a good time.
