Stay: April 23 to 24 2024. This is a cool small "pension" is the heart of Gemünd, in the outskirts of the Eifel National Park. With a parking lot across the street, things are made easy for those traveling by car. With a small number of rooms, the hearty breakfast was understandably not a buffet style but plentiful being brough to your assigned table (it was nice to have the breakfast included option). Frau Margot weas very kind and helpful. The room, bed and bathrooms were very comfortable with everything needed for a good rest after a day of hiking or travel. Very nice and clear wood floors, with a tray at the room entrance inviting guests to leave their shoes/boots there, keeping the room clean.

The apartment was very spacious and clean. It is part of a large house that has several apartments. The place was also very quiet. We had a living room with a TV, a large bathroom and a small but well equipped kitchen. The hosts were very kind and responsive to our questions. Everything was working perfectly, and we were very happy with this choice of accommodation. The village location is great for hikes and bike rides which you can rent from the information center nearby. There are nice places to eat, including a nice restaurant right next to the house. I highly recommend staying in this place!

The location was great, a 5 min walk from the nearest bus stop, allowing for convenient travel. Parking was readily available adjacent to the hotel. Given our early season visit, we appreciated having a restaurant within a 5 min walk for dinner options. The breakfast exceeded our expectations with a delightful assortment of tasty bread, scrambled eggs, a variety of fruits, cheese, cold cuts, cereal, jam, milk, tea, and coffee. The reception staff, consisting of two friendly and helpful gentlemen, ensured efficient communication through booking messages. The room's temperature was comfortably warm, the shower provided good pressure and consistently warm water. The building is beautiful and in great shape!

The backyard lies beautifully situated next to a stream in the valley, with a view on the forest. Big windows, so lots of natural light inside. In contrast to some of the other reviews, the wifi was excellent, so that seems to be fixed. Probably the best accommodation I have ever been. There even is a babysitter service (which we didn't use, so no further comment on it).

It's clean and the WiFi is great. The garden is at your disposal and equipped with lots of seating. Dogs are allowed at this accomodation which was a great plus for us. The house is located right beside the forest so you can have a nice walk whenever. Eifel National park is only a 15 minute drive from the house. The host is excellent, helpfull, friendly and speaks english.
