Wow. This may have been the best boutique hotel experience we’ve ever had. Nearly everything was perfect and there are so many additional details that made this place stand out for us. First, the location. It’s situated perfectly as a stone’s throw distance from Bordeaux’ Grosse Cloche. All the sights are within walking distance as are so many restaurants, cafes and wine bars. The square outside our window got a little bit loud on a Friday evening but the night was quiet and with the windows closed you don’t hear noise from the streets. The hosts very friendly and communicative via WhatsApp and in real life. No question or request was too much for them. The room is beautifully designed and decorated with gorgeous details and nice little extras like games, adapters for your devices, a little speaker set, a period box including a black towel (genius), a set of post cards that they will stamp and send for you after you write them, and every night a bag of fresh cannelés. So delicious and a nice added touch. Breakfast can be served on the terrace, in the downstairs common space or in your room at your time of choice. It was delicious and very sufficient, with fresh croissants and baguette every morning. Nice shower products too that smelled very good. Big fluffy towels. We could store our bags after checkout to pick them up later in the day. There were also umbrellas complimentary to use. I feel like the owners of this place must have traveled extensively because they seem to know exactly what a hotel guest needs. They provide all that and beyond. Truly exceptional and wholeheartedly recommended.

Guillaume is a great host and the hotel is a charming little gem, well-furnished and just what we needed for a couple of nights. Great breakfast, hotel located in a quiet back street away from noise, but still only 5 minutes walk from the nearest bus and tram stops (the easiest way to get around Bordeaux). Good wifi, good aircon. Highly recommend.

Great location, just 3 tram stops from the city and the stop is very close to the guesthouse. Nathalie is a great host, giving lots of insider tips about what to do, and restaurants in the immediate area. Our bedroom was beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast every morning.

The location of this property is excellent. Easy access to the city centre and the trams and buses which run past the door. The apartment is very quiet and opens on to a garden. It is spacious, comfortable bed, and has every facility available to make our stay easy and enjoyable. The hosts are charming, and close by available if we needed anything. We could walk to the Jardin Public, the river and lots of interesting shops close by. It was a real gem to have discovered this apartment to stay in Bordeaux

Really enjoyed my stay at Les Appartements à Gambetta. The location is great. It is about an 8min walk from the city centre which meant it was very easy to wander around and eat, but the apartment itself was nice and quiet. I had no problems accessing the apartment using the key box. Decent size room and bathroom, with a separate kitchenette. Veronique was a great host and left a gift upon arrival.

A boutique hotel in a period property with all furnishings appropriate to the period. Set in a quiet street, close to the city centre. Lovely atmosphere, and Helen, the proprietor, was a very welcoming host. A place that we'd stay again. The air conditioning in our beautiful bedroom worked quietly and effectively. Ask for directions to the cafe du vin down the street for a really friendly, informal atmosphere, Advance booking is necessary for that in winter.

Cozy guest house with a nice garden and communal ground floor, and a few rooms on the first floor. Windows face inner yard so rooms are very quiet. Brigitte is a wonderful host, very welcoming and thoughtful. Breakfasts are delicious with home-made jams, pastries, local cheeses, meat and fresh bread. Location is just around the corner from the tram stop and 10-20 minutes walk from the city centre.
