Our best hotel experience of all hotels at the South coast of the UK! We had an amazing stay in this hotel and what a great hosts are Rich and Katie, no effort has been spared to make us feel like at home here. The room was cozy and beautiful furniture and the view was stunning. It was beautiful to sit on the balcony and see the ocean. We had a wonderful breakfast in the morning, down in the lobby and the homemade cakes were the best we've ever tasted. It were all kind of nice things that made our stay at sea view all the more perfect. We can highly recommend this hotel, in fact this was our best experience in all hotels that we've seen at the south coast of England. The location was great, not far from the town centre but situated in an area steeped in local history. The building itself is everything and more from a structure of this age, bags of character, pitch black timber beams, mottle and daub walls and a period 'walk in' fireplace. We had booked a family room which was in fact a self contained arrangement of 2 separate rooms, a small landing area with tea and coffee making facilities and two armchairs. Both rooms were decorated with interesting period prints and paintings. Towels were ample in quantity and very soft. The beer was well kept (Harvey's Best Bitter), the atmosphere in the bar very inviting and calm. The bar staff - friendly and efficient. The breakfast was superb and with generous portions. The owner served us and was most friendly and considerate.

Our room was very pleasant and the food was great (we had the full English breakfast and Sunday roast). The bathroom was very large with good storage and plenty of heating. Staff were very friendly and it was nice to stay at a family-run business that locals also enjoy visiting. The pub atmosphere felt relaxed and welcoming. It was great being located close to the start of the Seven Sister's cliff walk. The bus stop was close by and we caught the bus to the Seven Sisters Country Park and walked back to Eastbourne along the cliffs. The parking lot was also very convenient as we had driven down from London. The Pilot Inn made our stay in Eastbourne very enjoyable.

The location is perfect! Rooms are clean. Staffs are kind and friendly. Breakfast is good. It was one of the best places we stayed so far. We did not stay in a room with sea view, but you can definitely consider a room with view. The view of hotel is remarkable!

From the proximity to the town centre and beach, to the welcome at arrival and an early breakfast for the runners, this was one of my best overnight stays. The hosts were helpful, on hand to advise about local facilities, and the special arrangements they had made for the Beachy Marathon runners. My single room had all I needed for a comfortable night. As promised breakfast was earlier than usual and had a quick one for my run. I will definitely be booking Cherry Tree again!

The breakfast was very comphrensive, the staff upon arrival were very helpful and throughout, the room was spotlessly clean, coffee & tea in the room, beautiful shower and soap, shampoo, conditioner. We were on 1.5 flights up but easy to get to and had lots of large bags and the owner offered to help with up and down.
