A ton of wee touches that were amazing - complimentary breakfast, earbuds, face towels, and all sorts of little bits and pieces that I don't even remember that just make up for a great stay. The mini fridge was the cutest thing! The host also logged a guest account into netflix and, in general, seemed to have thought about all the details. Everything was great! Only one bit of constructive criticism, which is, of course, partially our fault to get details on things like putting up the heating and turning on the hot water. But we figured out everything with the help of our host and also just looking around. Everything was amazing.

This was a last minute booking, but the B&B was able to accommodate me with a great room that was exceptionally clean, recently remodeled, warm, and quiet. The location is great for sightseeing on foot in downtown Fort William. I highly recommend the Whinburn!

The accommodation was wonderful with a stunning view from our room and from the kitchen table. The couple were very friendly and very accommodating, a great experience with really magnificent hospitality. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone travelling to Fort William of the surrounding areas.

Meeting the host, Scot, and staying at Achintee Farm was by far one of our most favorite memories in Scotland. I cannot speak highly enough of the hospitality! Scot was the wittiest, warmest, nicest person we have had the pleasure of meeting and made us laugh in every interaction. The place itself is incredibly charming. Our bedroom window overlooked grazing sheep and the mountains and the room was cozy, clean, spacious, and overall perfect. The breakfast in the morning was delicious, we both had the eggs with salmon and toast with jam. We didn't want to leave!

Natalie was extremely hospitable and full of wonderful suggestions and was an excellent and patient communicator. The space and view was incredibly charming and the coffee selection and treats in the room were delectable and comforting. There was so much attention to detail and thoughtfulness in the space that it felt like a home. I can't think of a better base to explore the surroundings and to return to after an exciting day of exploration. Second to none.

While it was by no means cheap as far as hostels go it was in a truly beautiful location and immaculately clean. We were two adults and a 17 yo and we slept very comfortably in a four bunk room. I was also surprised at how comfy the bunk beds were. We arrived late and were lucky enough to grab last call for dinner at the bar/restaurant just 1/4 mile south of the hostel. Again, location location location.

We had an amazing view of the Loch and despite being by the highway it was very quiet at night. We appreciated very much the continental breakfast, the best one we had during our holidays in Scotland. But the best of all was the host, she was always kind, helpful and smiling. We definately recommend the Lawriestone Guest House and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
