A ton of wee touches that were amazing - complimentary breakfast, earbuds, face towels, and all sorts of little bits and pieces that I don't even remember that just make up for a great stay. The mini fridge was the cutest thing! The host also logged a guest account into netflix and, in general, seemed to have thought about all the details. Everything was great! Only one bit of constructive criticism, which is, of course, partially our fault to get details on things like putting up the heating and turning on the hot water. But we figured out everything with the help of our host and also just looking around. Everything was amazing.

Not even needed to say that everything was spotless clean. Hosts are welcoming, provided with all information needed and stayed in contact for our questions. We also liked the location. It is close enough to everything you need in the city center (five minutes by car), but has advantages of quiet neighborhood, that gives you an opportunity to rest well after a long day. Definitely recommend. We would stay again.

While it was by no means cheap as far as hostels go it was in a truly beautiful location and immaculately clean. We were two adults and a 17 yo and we slept very comfortably in a four bunk room. I was also surprised at how comfy the bunk beds were. We arrived late and were lucky enough to grab last call for dinner at the bar/restaurant just 1/4 mile south of the hostel. Again, location location location.

We had an amazing view of the Loch and despite being by the highway it was very quiet at night. We appreciated very much the continental breakfast, the best one we had during our holidays in Scotland. But the best of all was the host, she was always kind, helpful and smiling. We definately recommend the Lawriestone Guest House and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.ErnestoSwitzerland
