The host, John, was absolutely amazing and made us feel right at home immediately. He was very flexible and accommodating and made everything feel so easy. We had an amazing time and have every intention of returning in the not too distant future! Breakfast was simple but refreshingly so!

A good selection of cereals accompanied by a variety of fresh fruit including strawberries and grapes. We were served by our superb host John with every attention to detail. Barnfields Retreat is a stunning house set in its own large grounds. The property was a true Retreat free from any noise but within easy reach of the coast.

Therefore there was a limited breakfast provision but there was a fair choice within the continental breakfast offered. The host was very welcoming and took the trouble to remember our names and to let us know that we needed to collect our keys during the day as he was out in the evening. The setting is quiet with lots of garden space and we enjoyed the relaxing nature of the venue.
