Offering free onsite parking, Byrdir House lies in the conservation area of Harlech High Street, 350 yards from Harlech Castle, a 10-minute walk from Royal St. David's Golf Course, and 1.8 miles from Harlech beach. Portmeirion is 8.4 miles from the property, while Blaenau Ffestiniog is 14.5 miles away.

The breakfast was absolutely outstanding: the cooked food was clearly made with high quality produce, the poached eggs were an absolute highlight and a genuine pleasure. We also got dinner one night that was great, and were allowed to bring in takeaway another night (with plates and cutlery graciously provided by the hosts) - Byrdir House's pie dinner was far better than the takeaway, so I'd recommend that. The location is great, close to the close but slightly away from the main tourist stretch. Harlech is a beautiful place for a getaway and even without a car we could visit the beach (be prepared for some uphill walking and sand dunes). The room was very clean, with coffee/ tea provided as well as some biscuits, which were a special treat. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious, and my mom and I made use of the common room/ bar on a few occasions to play some games, research local walks and enjoy some of the local beers and ciders. Adam was a fountain of knowledge and great conversation partner, with versatile interests and expertise. Tracy was an outstanding hostess with great attention to detail and a sunny demeanour, we were thrilled to have met both of them! My mom and I usually travel on a budget and this was as far as we could stretch it, but it was absolutely worth it for the amazing hospitality, food, location and, most of all, Adam's advice to check out the local viewpoint to watch the sunset! We'll be back :-)

We were able to u see plates glasses etc etc for a take away from the Thai (very nice) which we ate outside though the dininging was also available if we wanted to use it. Lots of interesting information provided in room, and she was always happy to chat with guests. Very enjoyable stay.

Very well equipped, well located, nice and quiet property. The hot tub is great with some nice views across the terrace. The instructions to get to the property are accurate if you know where you are going, we would recommend the hosts add WhatThreeWords or a more accurate pin to the location.

Great location! The house is very spacious and the kitchen/lounge are perfect for a travelling group. The bedrooms are decent size and had option of two singles in the main bedroom; the mattresses were quite firm and narrow however. Very clean and quiet location.
