Black Lion was perfect for a quick solo travel trip! The bed was comfy with plenty of pillows & warm, clean, white linens. Bathroom was clean and shower was very new and enjoyable! The pub staff was very helpful and friendly with check in and any questions I had. Central location around lots of good restaurants in Surbiton and complimentary coffee, tea, and cocoa were a plus! Try Red Rose for Indian, and Megan’s & Surbeanton for breakfast/brunch and lunch!

Not sure what all the hate is. Room was clean.. and comfortable. It's a budget place but still had a kettle, tea and coffee with toiletries. Not sure what more you can ask for.

Great location for visiting Hampton Court Palace and the area. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was small but very comfortable with tea, coffee and water, a fridge, hairdryer and a fan for warmer weather. The breakfast was excellent. Lots of choice all freshly cooked. We would certainly recommend The Kings Arms.

The host was kind enough to leave some snacks for us and I am sure if we had made additional requests given our long flight. (Nine hours), they would have obliged. The property was very easy to find and the hosts left clear instructions. The location was perfect, two minute walk to Sainsbury local grocery, close to the pharmacy, pizza shop and restaurant and a mere seven minute walk to the train station making it very easy to commute.

Parking permit on the street sorted by host. Little extras such as milk, bottle of wine, coffee and tea and snacks were a very nice touch. Layout of house was good and a nice sociable space for the three of us. The living room, kitchen and bathrooms were very modern and good specification. The outdoor space was lovely. The host was nice and friendly. The property was very clean.
