Beautiful hotel...lovely area. Large comfortable room with equally large bathroom. Plenty of space in the car park or on the street for parking. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice. We even saw the wall lizards in the garden. Convenient for walking into town or to the sea front. Ventnor Park just around the corner was lovely.

Boasting a garden and views of sea, Rylstone Manor is a guest house set in a historic building in Shanklin, 100 metres from Shanklin Beach. This beachfront property offers access to free WiFi and free private parking. The guest house features garden views and a sun terrace.

Rylstone Manor Hotel is a fabulous period hotel located in tranquil gardens in old Shanklin, near the chine. It is what I would term an "old school" hotel but I don't mean that in a disparaging way - it is a peaceful and comfortable building built in 1863, and the owners have obviously gone to great lengths to preserve the fine characteristics appropriate to the age of the building. The hall, sitting room and breakfast room areas all exude old world charm, with a wide staircase leading you upstairs to a large landing and equally well appointed rooms. The owners have decided to retain their Covid-style breakfast ordering - guests submit their choices the night before from a very extensive menu, and breakfast is ready when you come down at your requested time. It all works very efficiently and the breakfast quality is really superb. How do you get those egg yolks so orange ??!! Our room and en-suite bathroom were both very comfortable and well appointed, all in all we had a very relaxed and thoroughly enjoyable stay. We will not hesitate to book again on our next visit to the island.

Hayes Barton is set in Shanklin and 15 minutes’ walk from this traditional seaside town’s lovely beaches. This guest house offers pleasant en suite rooms in a spacious 1850s villa with a garden.

Looking onto the garden, rooms at Hayes Barton have attractive, lightly coloured décor. There are tea and coffee-making facilities, a TV and a private bathroom with free toiletries.

Joan and Chris are exceptional hosts and are always on hand. We were offered tea and biscuits on arrival which we found very welcoming. Hayes Barton is wonderful, spotlessly clean, comfy beds and in a peaceful area near Shanklin Old Village. The breakfasts are varied and delicious with lots of choice. We would thoroughly recommend

The rooms (with ensuite bathrooms) were perfect! Beautifully decorated, comfortable, spacious, and included every little complementary detail imaginable. Leslie and Colin welcomed us warmly... offering a beverage on arrival. The house has a very homey feel (a genuine B&B of the old variety). Our breakfast was sumptuous! We were offered a full menu the previous evening to choose from.

Fantastic location, immediately opposite Ventnor Park which leads on to wonderful walks along the coast. Walkable access to a number of dog friendly restaurants and cafes. The accommodation had everything we needed for our stay, was very comfortable, clean and really quiet. Parking was available on street and never an issue. David our host was extremely helpful and pleasant assisting with our ferry bookings, securing a significant saving, and had provided extensive local information for our stay. Would happily return.

Great location within walking distance to coastline and Ventnor town centre. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious and immaculately kept which made for a very comfortable stay. There was a wide choice for breakfast - fresh fruit, cereals, cooked breakfast. All of the staff were very welcoming and friendly. I thoroughly recommend this hotel and would definitely choose to stay at St Maur again when visiting the IOW
