We arrived ahead of our scheduled time, but our host was there, cleaning the houses, so we got our keys right away and also had a good chat with him. The system at Bjarkarholt Guesthouse is: do it yourself. So we had to make our own beds and also take off the linen and towels and stow them in a bag, when we left. It's not a big deal and you save some money. The houses have a working kitchen, fridge, kettle, microwave, toaster. Wi-fi was fine too.

We had found the hotel restaurant where we had intended having a meal and had planned to stay had closed down so we had a very late booking. Very good contact with the host before arrival - we received very accurate information about check-in and address. The apartment is very spacious, well equipped, we lacked nothing.
