Owner Einar communicated with us with all the information well. The guesthouse was just by Hwy 1 and was easy to find. Nice house by the church. Einar and her 2 dogs welcome us well when we arrived. Einar is very nice and showed us around and made sure we were settled. The room and bathroom is very clean. Shower was hot and strong. We got the middle one and it had a fantastic view of the mountain. The living room is roomy. We had breakfast in the kitchen and it was very clean as well.

Would stay here again in a heartbeat! Great location close enough to Blóndous, but far enough away to be cozy and private. Lovely atmosphere and great owners. Very easy to talk with and extremely accommodating hosts. Was a great stay!

There is a main building where the "reception" is (just ring the bell) and a side building where there are about 6 rooms, a common room with tables and a kitchen with a large shared refrigerator. Check-in and check-out was very quick and easy. The hotel offers good views over the lake in a very quiet location that is ideal to reach route F35 from the north.

We had a room on the ground floor, the family/owners were upstairs and our shared kitchen and bathroom were just for the guests. Very little noise from upstairs. Queen size beds. Blinds on the windows to create night time enviroment. Kitchen big enough to share with other guests of the guest house. To my USA fellow visitors: this is the place you want to book, you won't regret it. Make sure to bring food with you, as you are staying on a farm away from civilization. Host is freindly and professional. This stay was a welcome break from the "cottages" we were staying in prior to this one.Marc KFamily with young children
