There are hiking trails you can walk to around the lake without needing to drive anywhere but it’s also a great place to base yourself while exploring the Sexten Dolomites. The appartment itself was excellent for self-catering and the views from the private balcony were as good as promised! Calalzo di cadore was a great location for exploring the Eastern Dolomites and although we had to drive a little further to get to the desired places than if staying in Cortina, the town had great facilities and offered a much quieter less touristy base.RachelYoung couple
