Amazing place, very clean and comfortable. The host was so kind and helpful. The location was so quiet and peaceful, especially compared to other "more popular" villages around Como, which was great. It also had connections by bus and ferry to other villages so it was easy for us to see everything we had planned. Both the bus station and ferry dock were close. Highly recommend this place, especially if you want to get away from the crowds. You shouldn't expect a lot of places to eat around here, but there's a pizzeria 5 minutes away which had great food.

Varenna was our favorite town in Lake Como and Varenna Guest House was the perfect location to explore the lake from. It is a 5 minute walk to the train station, 2 minute walk to the ferries and a 10 minute walk to all of the restaurants on the promenade. it had all the basics a traveler needs and we were very comfortable throughout our stay. We also appreciated our host Enrico who went out of his way to mail our watch which we forgot at the apartment at checkout.

Very good location to get to everything and about a 10 minute walk from the ferry. We stayed in November and it was a lovely warm and comfortable apartment to come home to. Josef was very helpful and a great host too. It was too cold to use the pools in the garden but I expect they would be lovely in the warmer summer months.

He was very kind, was always available for any questions and brought breakfast on request :). Menaggio is a great location for visiting lake Como. The village is at walking distance, however, it is a 30 minute steep uphill climb back to the apartment so a car may come in handy ;). Would recommend staying here to anyone!

The views from the hostel are nice, so you can enjoy those when having breakfast. Dinner in the hostel restaurant was OK and quite cheap for the area.
