Bon's Home offers accommodation in Shari, the gateway to one of the national heritage sites, Shiretoko National Park. The property is located only a 3-minute walk from Utoro Onsen Bus Terminal, and a 10-minute walk to the Shiretoko sightseeing ship boarding port.

- Great location to Utoro Bus Terminal within 5-min walk - Cozy place to stay with clear instructions about facility rules and how to make a futon bed - Delicious Japanese home style food (dinner and breakfast). I also enjoy the puddings in the restaurant.

This is the such a homely guesthouse with the most welcoming and lovely host! The location is perfect with amazing viewing spots for sunrise and sunset less than a 10min walk away. It’s always nice and warm so if you’re there in winter it’s great to pop back and defrost after exploring. The smells from the café walking in are absolutely delicious and the food is wholesome and tasty. It’s a fantastic base for exploring Shiretoko National park, I’ll absolutely be coming back to see this magical place in every season!

Iruka is a cozy guest house, very clean and great location! All rooms face the ocean. It’s a 15min walk to Utoro roadside station and 20mins to the bus terminal, but the owner/manager was very kind to drop us to the bus stop every morning. The kind lady at the reception was very helpful. She helped us get our luggage from the Yamato service and also shipped our luggage to our next destination. She gave us a room at 6:30am even though checkin is at 3pm. Overall, we had a super experience here. Just felt like home.

Such a lovely guest house with a great location close to the village. We had a room on 3F which overlooked the bay. Had gorgeous view from the room window! The room and guest house was very clean, well designed and efficiently utilised. The futon bed was comfortable and all daily amenities were available. The kitchen was also open for use, and was very well equipped. The dining room was bright and sunny. The laundry facilities were great to have. The staff were very helpful and hospitable!

The hostel itself (different building than the main house) was clean, had a modern touch and the beds were comfy. Distance to bus station was ok, however be sure to get groceries before walking up the hill. Cheapest hostel in town.

Good location & value. The facility was clean and provided all we needed. I thought it was much nicer than typical hostel type, but still much cheaper than other hotels in the area. So, I was overall very pleased with this lodging.

A holiday detached property in a place like a school ground/ holiday camp. Quiet. The accommodation is very spacious but basic looking. Everything is ok and works. Little communication but there was someone in reception to check in with no problem. Location is good for us to explore 2 places: Shiretoko Peninsula and Lake Kussharo, and much cheaper than places in Shiretoko Peninsula.

The quiet atmosphere, the comfy futon, amazing food, great hosts - all you need for this place to remain in your thoughts much longer than the actual stay.
