The property was beautiful and thoughtful. The mid-century furniture and beautiful ceramics on display made the accommodation feel very peaceful and homely. The doors opened up onto a peaceful garden with a creek running through it. Will definitely return next time we are in Japan. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly.

Good to know: you can not bathe at the guesthouse. I was a bit scared of using the Onsen at first, but ended up loving it. The hosts are such nice people. They made my stay even better, thank you so much.

Its location is great, right next to the train station, and the breakfast is solid. I always like the fact that they incentivise skipping room cleaning by giving you a free drink if you don't have your room cleaned. All in all it's a good hotel that is nice and functional (but nothing fancy or design-led).

The room is adorned with many hundreds of art books and magazines reflecting the owner's tastes. The sliding glass door to the back yard offers a pretty and peaceful view of nature.
