This place has a lot of character and very comfortable and cozy. The dining area is overall a great place to unwind, watch a little tv. Dinner was wonderful and breakfast was good. There’s an onsen hotel a couple minutes walk from the guesthouse where for 500 yen you can try the indoor and outdoor onsen. This is a backpackers guesthouse and for what it is, I had a great experience

The staff are wonderful and I met some really friendly and interesting fellow guests here. The meal available of the traditional barayaki was one of my favourite meal experiences in 3 weeks travel in Japan. And to be able to access the amazing onsen/ rotenboru at the hotel next door for hardly any money at all (¥300 or ¥500 , I forget which) is an incredible bonus. Great location too! ありがとうございました！

We were allowed to check in ourselves around 2pm as she was not around. We just pick out the bed that was free. This is excellent service and ingenuity.
