It's in a great location - about 10 minutes walk from the port and the centre of town where you can find the tuk tuks. The staff were very welcoming throughout our stay and breakfast was really good! The staff were also very helpful - when they couldn't serve an early breakfast, they told us where we could go instead. They were also able to provide information for our next destination. AMEX is accepted. We'll be returning!

All the staff, from the very helpful and kind hotel manager Mrs. Rova to Charlene our restaurant host and the owners, were very warm hearted and attentive. The food was great especially on the hosted "pirate party night". Which they had a live band! Fred the owner is extremely outgoing and helpful and makes you feel comfortable 100% of the way.

But you have beautiful nature around you and you get to see the whales from the breakfast table. Marc really is a great and very kind host. We had a great time!

Slightly far from the city center but a very peaceful and beautiful place with very well thought amenities Marc and his team are beyond wonderful hosts in all aspects. The staff was absolutely fantastic (greetings to Rico!). The food is a bit more expensive compared to other places but quality and taste were very good. Overall our stay was very nice and if we come back to Madagascar we will definately come back to the Samaria Lodge as well!
