Stunning location, hidden away but still very accessible. Wonderful hostess who couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome. Very comfortable beds, quality furnishings/decor and spacious, well equipped bathroom. Various living areas to relax in with wonderful warm log burners and great views. Breakfast was delicious, with quality ingredients, and plentiful.

Really charming property, the hosts are very friendly and welcoming. The room was cosy and comfortable, perfect for families, with a warm and inviting ambiance. Since it was winter and freezing temperatures I didn't use the swimming pool, but there is a fireplace in the room and a big bonfire in the garden that can be used by the guests. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a friendly and cosy getaway.

Paul and Sergio looked after us so well. Friendly and very attentive. The breakfast is insane.... Awesome cheese and meats and then breakie food too and cakes... Will fill you up until dinner. We ended up eating here every night of our stay too as it was yummy, convenient and we'd be knackered from hikes... Watch out for Gin Tonica... Its lovely and strong! The room is very comfy and warm, the bed also. Huge carpark. Big restaurant and outdoor space to enjoy the sunshine. Great location for a four day stay as there were 4 walks we wanted to do in the area. Torre is less than 15 mins drive. 110% recommend. We really loved our stay!

The place we booked was closed due to some technical issues, but the commitments and booking was taken over by the hotel owner's relative and she accommodated us in her hotel, which was right across the road. So my review is about her hotel. Our room was super cool, I really liked the room style and furniture. In our room we had a crib, so it looks like families with small kids are also welcome. The room was warm and did not have any side smell (though it was a rainy season and some other accommodations in our trip had this musty smell), the bed linen was white and super fresh. Aside from the room itself, I also liked the view to the valley from our window. The hotel also has a restaurant with a-la carte and very decent food and drinks. Though the restaurant is downstairs we were not bothered by any loud noises. The hotel is a pick for those, who are aiming to visit National Park Serra da Estrela. I recommend staying in this hotel.

The host was waiting for us with a German interpreter and prepared us some local snacks (cheese, ham, wine, even cherries picked from the house's garden)! The house had everything we needed, the animals were fun to have around and we enjoyed the beautiful view of the mountains from the garden.

The view from the goat room is amazing. Teresa is very thoughtful and even proposed a vegan breakfast (not included in the price). There is a nice hiking tour only a few minutes away from the house. We were very lucky to enjoy a quiet and peaceful sunset and sunrise as we had the house for ourselves the first night but if you have other guests in the house, the atmosphere might be very different and less intimate.dk200Belgium
