The host was very welcoming, nice and helpful - even helped with a question we had by calling someone in Chinese on our behalf. Our room on the top floor was in Japanese style, very cute and spotlessly clean. I loved the design of the bathroom as well. There are some bikes in front of the house which are free to use to go around Yuli. The owners also have a very sweet cat. We only stayed one night but I would have gladly stayed longer. You will miss out on one of the best experiences in Taiwan. Taxis are plentiful and are cheap, the host also kindly picked us up when we arrived and dropped us back when we left. This has it all, warmness of the hosts (who are absolutely amazing), the pets (including a duck!), the rooms and facilities, the amazing gardens, fabulous breakfasts, the location and things that you can’t even put a finger on. Our room was clean, comfortable and very spacious for a family of four. Our hosts were friendly and gave helpful ideas on places to visit - we particularly enjoyed the nearby walking/hiking trail.
