The housekeeper was very welcoming and accommodating as we were delayed in arriving due to diversions from Cape Town. The location was incredible, just so close to the beach. It was a shame we didn't arrive early enough to enjoy the view.

Lovely house, stylishly decorated by the owners. It has fantastic views ovr hills and the river mouth in a safe neighbourhood. It is only minutes away from a few great restaurants, the ocean is 5 minutes drive away too. It is 15 mins from the popular Hartenbos beach and 30 mins from Mossel bay. The house has all the facilities you could need! The owners gave us a warm welcome and ensured we had all we needed for the kids. I can highly recommend staying here for a peaceful holiday!

We will never forget our stay at the Seeplaas. Watching whales go past all the time during our 3 night stay was spectacular. We had only booked 2 nights but loved the place so much that we decided to book one more night in the premium tent. The king room with sea view was beautiful and we loved having electric blankets, since the winter nights do get cold. The premium tent was spectacular! We were lucky with the weather, having sunshine all day. We only left the bubble once to go and eat at the Seeplaas. All staff are so kind and fun, food is delicious and you even have the art gallery and shop to visit. Falling asleep under a million stars, waking up to a sunrise and the sound from the ocean is unforgettable.

It was an unforgettable experience of living in a castle. Jannie met us, showed us the castle, and also prepared documents and menus for their restaurant for us in our native language, it was very pleasant. We checked in, and in the evening we went to dinner, which was prepared by Martiana, she is an amazing chef. She fed us very tasty dishes. Over dinner, the hosts told us the history of their palace, told us about their family, hobbies and many other things. In the morning we were fed a delicious breakfast and we had a nice chat with the hosts again. They are very nice people, Yani is an artist, most of the paintings in the castle are his work. And he also has a large collection of various interesting pieces. We are extremely grateful for such a welcome and for an unforgettable experience at the castle. We kindly advise everyone and want to come back again.
