Super host and hostess - so friendly and welcoming. They went out of their way! Room and property were peaceful and inviting. Highly recommend.

Situated on the edge of the Brokenback Mountain Range, Elfin Hill Vineyard Accommodation boasts a swimming pool and free on-site parking. All accommodation features a patio offering panoramic mountain and vineyard views. Marie and Mark went out of their way to make our holiday fabulous. Breakfast was excellent. Location is quiet with amazing views.

Inside you will find luxury inclusions, such as quality toiletries and cooked a la carte full breakfast is available to guests staying 2 nights or more. The atmosphere is like a magic place; the owners are amiable. The whole place is very beautiful and comfortable, so relaxing. I reserved a special dinner for two people; the food was fresh and delicious. You can taste the local ingredients. It is a perfect place to escape from a busy work life. They also have a huge shower and a bathroom with a jacuzzi.

The property is non-smoking and is located 32 km from University of Newcastle. The whole stay was delightful. We loved the self contained aspect, the setting, the cleanliness. Being able to have our dog was an absolute bonus. The quietness of the neighbourhood. The sprawling, immaculately kept front yards and all the neighbourhood dogs beautifully contained. Even the red chicken who kept escaping added to our delight. Thank you for a beautiful space to stay.

Situated in Wollombi, in a historic building, 40 km from Hunter Valley Gardens, Capers Cottage and Barn Accommodation is a guest house with a garden and terrace. This guest house offers accommodation with a balcony. The guest house features rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. The historic village of Wollombi was very scenic, we didn't have time to explore it as we were there for our daughter's wedding at a nearby retreat. We were warmly greeted by our host Jane, who took us on a tour of the main house which was a magnificent example of an early colonial mansion, very historic in origin. The Capers Guesthouse had a choice of three separate buildings for a stay, we had the Barn which was a real highlight as it was literally a slab barn with beautiful interior, so rustic but comfortable. The furniture inside was a collection of antiques which reflected the heritage atmosphere of the Barn and town. All modern facilities for cooking, the supplied breakfast had a choice of cereals or full cooked breakfast. The ingredients supplied were the best quality, tomatoes, huge mushrooms, eggs and the best sausages and bacon I've tasted in a long time. The bed was a huge king size, very comfortable and the bathroom was modern and supplied by fresh rainwater from tanks. We want to try the other buildings for a stay in the future and have the pleasure of a historic building stay.
