He collected us from the airport and had to wait a really long time but did so with a smile, he went out at midnight to find food for my family and I, he made check in as easy as possible as we were still in Thailand holiday clothes rather than for sun zero temperatures. They made sure we go to the airport on time, very early I might add, and packed a breakfast for us.

Xixi, the owner, made us a tasty breakfast with coffee. She was also very helpful, recommending us places to go around Lijiang, and helped us with the transportation to the airport.

At the guest house, each unit is equipped with bed linen and towels. The inn is amazingly decorated, clean, and the staff and owners (Mr. Huang & Mrs. Fan) are super friendly and helpful. We had many meaningful conversations about the history of this place as well as the jade trade over tea time (Mrs. Fan loves tea - great opportunity to learn and taste). The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and each is decorated in a style, but in general very traditional and zen! There's a public tea room, studyroom/library, and a balcony. The location is very close to the entrance of the old town, and you can walk 2 minutes straight to the bustling main street, where you can find great restaurants and charming little coffeeshops and trinket stores. We had such a great time that we decided to extend our stay. 12/10 recommended and definitely will make this our stay again this winter.

You can tell that a lot of love and attention to detail was put into the design of this accomodation. The location is very central yet quiet at night. The highlight of it all was the lovely, generous and genuine owner. She took time to recommend us great restaurants and vegetarian dishes. Checked in on us regularly to make sure we are having a great time. And when I was sick she even brought food and medicine. It felt like home and being taken care of by family. I have never experienced such a hospitality and am very grateful. I highly, highly recommend this place when you're visiting Yunnan. The owner has travelled all over the world and has lots of interesting stories and insights to share, definitely recommend you to have a chat with her over tea.
