The hotel has a roof top level with hammocks and a great view of the river. The owner could not have been more friendly and accommodating. The whole place was truly a garden of Eden. We were offered cacao beans to suck on and he explained the process of making chocolate. Because I am a beekeeper, he gave us a tour of his hives with stingless, native to the amazon honey bees. We could not have been more pleased with everything. And Puerto Narino is so beautiful - with it's clean sidewalks and NO motor vehicles. A big contrast from Leticia where we started our trip.

There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. I spent four days with Maricela in the bedroom with a private bathroom. Maricela is a lovely host, she picked me up at the airport and she talked me through different options of things to do in the upcoming days. She can put you in contact with a guide for any type of activity you would like to do. Her house is very nice, very welcoming (and her dog Niky is lovely!) My room had AC and a hammock in front of the door, super cosy. The bathroom was clean and very big. You can take a moto-taxi to town (Maricela can call one for you) or walk, it takes around 15/20 minutes and it's very secure. I really appreciated that Maricela was always waiting for me when I came back from dinner or activities - as someone travelling alone, it was nice to know someone was looking after me. I would recommend going for lunch in Terras Amazonas (excellent Wifi) and have ice cream at Nàì Chì Gelatería Artesanal after watching the birds settle for the night in Park Santander... Magic!
