Sønderborg Airport is an hour’s drive away. Peaceful location in lovely grounds. Not a standard hotel - a bit more communal (unforced) eg all eat dinner at 6 pm with a focus on finding peace and slowing down . Many rooms to read and study in. The manager showed us around and explained the concept even though we were really just passing through. Also very good value for money by Danish standards

Set on a former stable with its own entrance, Fæbrogaard Apartment features rustic furnishings and exposed wooden beams. A flat-screen TV, DVD player and iPod docking station are found in the open-plan living room. Everything was perfect, we checked in very late and thankfully it was not a problem. Our dogs were welcomed as well. The location is beautiful and easy to find. The room was well equipped, extremely clean and so pretty. Overall a great value for money and the owners were so lovely as well!
