Lively pets around, which was a welcomed change :) A 30 min walk from Gifu JR, hosts happily dropped us to the station at checkout. I believe you can organise pick up and drop off with the host. Regardless, a 30 min walk on flat ground is completely possible and should not deter anyone. However there is a local line which is 13 min walk from the house.

Offering a sun terrace and views of the garden, Tajimi Guest House is set in the middle of nature, 3 km from Tajimi Station. Nyakuichioji Shrine is beside the property and a mountain stream flows through the property premises. The property was beautiful and thoughtful. The mid-century furniture and beautiful ceramics on display made the accommodation feel very peaceful and homely. The doors opened up onto a peaceful garden with a creek running through it. Will definitely return next time we are in Japan. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly.

The hosts are super nice and always here to give you recommandations on where to go and eat. They even gave us heating pads for our beds because it was cold !

Japanese-style rooms have traditional futon beds on a tatami (woven-straw) floor. The private bathroom comes with a bathtub and amenities are provided. The room was very big and comfortable. The location was perfect too, so close to the main sights Takayama has to offer. It was also very cool in the room, we didn't even need AC when it was still very hot outside.

The nearest airport is Toyama Airport, 82 km from ROMANSTAY. The apartment was very clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. We stayed for one night during the Takayama festival as a couple but it can accommodate more guests. The open-air bath was fun and easy to use with privacy.
