But during the day there is a bus running. Still definitly worth staying there!

There are coffee beans and everything ready for us to make a hand drip coffee. I can’t wait to make one cup. The coffee taste so good and smooth, maybe this is selected beans. I connected the Bluetooth speaker and playing Mayumi Itsuwa’s songs. Music harmonized with the lovely chalet interior, the atmosphere is so relaxing and immersive. Kihara-san is very nice. The Shinyu Onsen he recommended is gorgeous. The hot spring water is wonderful. It is milky-white, so natural and so great. I guess it come from a sulphur spring. In the daytime, we hiked around Onamiike and Ebino Plateau. The crater lake is amazing and there are great views along the trails. At night, we do BBQ in front of the chalet. We rent a Charcoal Konro Grill set, it is really convenient. We bought some Japanese Wagyu beef for yakiniku from supermarket near Kirishima. The beef is yummy, really delicious.

Situated a 15-minute drive from Yakushima Airport, La Isla Tasse is charming accommodation housed in a large American-style mansion. Free in-room Wi-Fi is available, and guests can unwind in a spacious lounge with comfortable sofas. An excellent place, the house is exceptionally clean. We had a bedroom that was very comfortable with a view on Anbo river. Breakfast is exceptional, traditional Japanese with an egg and ham, every day different options. The hosts are very, very nice people.

A 3-minute walk from Yakushima Airport, Tomarigi offers a bunk in a dorm room, a garden with a hammock and free Wi-Fi. It has a lounge with a flat-screen TV and a DVD player, as well as a shared kitchen. This place is absolutely amazing. Japanese people are generally very hospitable, but the host took it to a next level. She gave me clear instructions how to do my hiking trip and also booked my return ferry for me. She even made some homemade onigiri for me and every other guest doing a hike. There's also breakfast (coffee/tea and toast) in the hostel and the host was there awake at 3 AM to make sure everybody gets going without problems. The forest around the hostel and the facilities themselves are very unique.
