Our so far favourite place where we stayed! Great location, 30 min car ride from the Yala National Park. They organized a driver for the tour and prepared yummy take away breakfast for us! The staff was so helpful and kind, we especially liked manager Cassim who made sure that we felt really comfortable! We had two dinners and one breakfast and everything was really delicious, the place was clean and beds really comfortable. The room also has fan and AC - we don’t like AC but the silent fan ensured that we slept very well! The place has amazing views over the fields, beautiful garden, place to exercise, as I said, our favourite place so far!

Then a free guided tour around of the lake and birds in the area in Priyankara’s (owner) tuk tuk. The room’s were spotless and had plenty of space. The bathroom too, everything felt thoroughly cleaned and well placed. Everything just worked in all ways. He organised the Yala tour for us at a fantastic rate. He had picked and dropped us up from the bus stop for free in his tuk tuk when we arrived/left Tisa. Everything was just perfect and so thoughtful. Wish we could have stayed much longer.

Very nice, very calm property. It is close to Debarawewa lake which I found more beautiful than Tissa Lake with the birds and water buffalos. The owner is very friendly and extremely helpful and he offered to take me to and from Bus station which is really nice. The homestay is approx 2 km from Tissa Lake, you can take a tuk tuk or the owner can help you with transport, for me I prefer to walk. They can also help you with booking Yala Safari It is a great value for money

Bundala Bird Sanctuary is 26 km from the guest house, while Situlpawwa is 39 km from the property. The nearest airport is Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport, 28 km from Lake Face Cabana. Our time in this place was a genuinely beautiful experience. Equipped with binoculars, we enjoyed observing birds by the lake during the day. In the evening, the owner generously offered us a ride to a larger lake, where we had the opportunity to look at the bird nests and trees full of bats in the middle of the lake. The family was exceptionally helpful, providing us with delicious meals and engaging in friendly conversations. Additionally, they organised a memorable safari for us. We felt truly welcomed and embraced by their hospitality.

Hosts were so friendly and helpful, they helped us book a safari which was also excellent and very good price. One of the nicest hotels we’ve stayed in in Sri Lanka. Hot water, good AC, very clean, couldn’t be nicer!

La safari inn is such a nice place! I came here for two nights but because of the heavy rain and closing of the National park, I decided to stay only one night and I could cancel the second night for free! The breakfast was good and not expensive, the guy working there is super supportive. He found me a taxi to Mirirssa, at a very nice price. At night it is very quiet . Shame I didn't get to do safari, but hopefully next time!
