Ananda Guest house is located on the slopes of the Maderas Volcano on Ometepe Island, 19 mi from the port of Moyogalpa. The 5-acre organically managed property runs on a hybrid energy system including solar and grid energy. We had a great stay with my friend at Ananda Guesthouse! The view was incredible, super easy access from Balgue but also super peaceful and quiet. You feel disconnected when you are there. We also appreciate that they found us a guide to hike the Conception volcano, and they pre-booked our ferry tickets with the car. We will come back !

There is a restaurant next door but if you want to go to others it’s a close 10min drive. Look no further and stay here!

Guest House Nena is a recently renovated guest house in Moyogalpa, where guests can make the most of its garden and terrace. The property features inner courtyard views. The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, full-day security and free WiFi. I left two pouches with my passport, money, and everything important I was traveling with at the Guest House Nena when I departed to take a ferry back to San Jorge. I had no idea I had left them! They were under a sheet on the bed that I had inadvertently covered them with. After the people at the Guesthouse found my pouches and their valuable contents, they looked around for me, and the young lady from the Nena eventually ended up boarding ferry before we left and asked for me. Fortunately, she found me. I thanked her profusely and gave her a hug. I was extremely happy and grateful to have my stuff and to have adverted a semi-disaster. I owe that girl and the Guest House Nena in Moyogalpa….
