The hostel is in a beautiful traditional house at about 1/2 hour walk from the center (beware of motortaxi drivers who will tell you all sorts of lies to convince you to go to another hotel of their choice so they can get a commission). The room, living room and kitchen are new and well organized and equipped. Sarisa is a wonderful host who will help you in any way and can advise you about tours in the jungle, etc.

Amazon House Hostel is located in Iquitos, an 8-minute drive from the main square. The property features a terrace and offers free WiFi. The family that run the hostel are extremely friendly and accommodating, especially Carlos. I stayed in a private room with double bed which was excellent value, really comfortable bed and en-suite
