The view and ease of access are great. But most impressive for us were the professional kitchen and the spaciousness of the place. The little sauna is also nice after a day of hiking. If you want to use the sauna please let the hosts know. Due to high energy prices you have to pay the energy for the sauna separately, wjich is fair. This is calculated in cash during checkout. The hosts provided basic necessities, fresh towels (including large sauna towels) and bed linens. They used to live in this place, so the sound system, furniture and appliances are higher quality than usual in vacation homes. You can connect your phone via Bluetooth and listen to your own music. They own a restaurant in the village and are easily reachable by phone. Wifi works well, but be aware that for VPN access you can only use IPsec based VPNs. All in all very high value for the price. A vacation home to come back to!

This is a fantastic self contained 2 bedroom house with ample off street parking. The area was very quiet and perfect for our needs. The owner met us on arrival and was so welcoming. The property is tastefully furnished with a lovely kitchenette and a great bathroom. There is a good supermarket within a 5 minute drive from the house with ample supplies.

The place was beautiful and very well equipped. The check-in was quick. The view of the hill from the living room was beautiful! Hospitality of the lady who is also the owner of the place was amazing! She was the sweetest .. We initially booked for 6 people but couple of our friends joined too and they were quite accommodating of the last minute request The place was very newly listed and hence did not have a lot of reviews so we were having second thoughts about booking but we are glad we booked the place as we were 8 people and each and everyone had the same thought that staying here was the right decision! A very nice charming quiet place in the forest! Do not think twice go for it!

The house has a lot of space. Nice kitchen connected to the living room area and big balcony door leading to patio. The upstairs is a nice big bedroom with comfortable beds. 1 full bathroom upstairs and toilet downstairs. Overall many walking paths in the area of the house and in the Eifel park. A little nice feature was a gramophone. There is no TV, which we didnt mind. Note that the owners have a couple of horses - expect farm atmosphere and smells.

Sonnendeck 2 has friendly and flexible hosts. We felt very welcome and the accommodation was super clean and comfy. From the living room there is a beautiful view overlooking the village and lake. Even in late October we could sit in the garden and enjoy a sunny afternoon and enjoy the scenery. Highly recommended.

Beautiful and well equiped holiday home with an amazing view !! Beautiful region with nice walks and interesting sights such as Vogelsang. The wild parks in the region are highly recommended with children. We had a excellent stay !

An extremely serene audiovisual experience of the cozy river, and the hill behind it with an exposé of the starry sky, make it an amazing place to enjoy a night on the balcony. Easy to reach (at least by car, don't know otherwise), good parking space, easy entrance. Didn't speak to the owners directly, but checking in was super easy.

The staff was friendly even though they only spoke German we could communicate perfectly, the breakfast was indeed suberb, lots of fresh products, and they made us scrambled eggs on the spot. All the facilities are new, the bathroom was renovated and it had very hot water, all good. Lovely hotel, would visit again for sure.
