La maison de la Traverse is stunning, beautifully designed and decorated. Everything is spotless and new and it had everything we needed. Check in was easy and Nadia was super-responsive and friendly. She gave us lots of useful information before we arrived (eg about parking, which was very straightforward, and the fact that there is no supermarket or proper grocer in the village so pick up supplies on the way). Saint Guilhem le Desert is a gorgeous village - the house is on the main lane up through the village but there's no traffic so it's very quiet. There are various restaurants, cafes and bars, and gift shops. The river is just a few minutes walk away - we had a great day canoeing (which did involve a few miles by bus), and a fantastic swim off the beach at the famous Pont du Diable, which is just a few minutes by car or bus. The swim was just unforgettable - we were told to go in the evening to avoid the crowds which was great advice.

Very nice accomodation with attention to detail. Kitchen fully equiped with everything you need to cook. Outside of the city, so very quiet. The host was very friendly, showed us everything and gave us recommendations. Parking is available on the premis. There are also bikes available for exploring the surroundings.
