The residence was very clean, spacious and private. It had a beautiful view , and enjoyed the balcony for my early breakfasts and coffees. Also enjoyed the pergola and grill for dining in the afternoons . Even used the hammock to rest and enjoy the nature's sounds . Really enjoyed the location . It truly is a nature retreat.

The view from the top of the steep hill is spectacular; from every room one can see the ocean and mountains. It is very quiet and private, and the property is lovely. The washing machine was not as large as I had hoped but the shower was fine. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. Parking was ample and easy on the property. There are excellent restaurants a short drive away. The kitchen could use a few more items for preparing meals. Four of us spent two nights quite comfortably.

The traditional house was.quiet and charming with it’s own courtyard and located near to Archanes central square where we ate each night in the open air. Plenty of good restaurants to choose from. Our host was easy to contact and very helpful. A great base from which to explore Crete.

It's truly a pleasure to return to this stunning historic hotel nestled in the heart of Archanes. This time, we had the pleasure of staying at the Avra stone house. It was incredibly spacious and tastefully decorated with beautiful furniture and paintings. The cleanliness was impeccable. Moreover, the owner made several enhancements to ensure our comfort: new mattress toppers, updated amenities (we especially enjoyed the cosmetics from Apivita and the espresso machine), and improved lighting. Additionally, we were provided with a private parking slot just a 2-minute walk from the hotel. Michael greeted us there and personally escorted us to the house. He also kindly made a dinner reservation for us at a restaurant. We are already looking forward to returning this summer. Thank you so much for the exceptional hospitality, and we eagerly anticipate our next visit.
