Chalet Villas Gerês, holiday home in Geres

Situated in Geres, in a historic building, 700 metres from Geres Thermal Spa, Chalet Villas Gerês is a recently renovated villa with an outdoor swimming pool and garden. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Rooms are equipped with a balcony with mountain views.

The location was great. Felt secluded but was an easy walk into the village. There are small supermarkets within walking distance and also a variety of restaurants too. We liked the restaurant at the top end of town - it was attached to a hotel and spa. We self catered a lot of our meals and the kitchen was well equipped for all cooking. We stocked up on supplies at the large Continente supermarket in Lanhoso - on our way there. A lot of thought has gone into the small touches etc. It was spotlessly clean! Susana and Tomas very friendly and welcoming. I needed medical attention and Susana helped me with organising that. Nothing was too much trouble. We really appreciated the cheese and bottle of rose on our arrival. We liked the restaurant at the top end of town- the one attached to a hotel and spa. O The air conditioning worked really well and was needed as for the first two days it was over 38 degrees! Overall - a wonderful stay!

    We were there in December, cold weather. This hotel is fitted for warm weather. We felt cold. Tiny rooms, although very clean. The electricity failed a few times - probably because it could not handle the demand... The place was full, due to a sports event. The staff was helpful.

    It was a beautiful location , in a very small village . For who likes to me more at home or around nature it’s perfect. Enjoyed every day there. Very clean and comfortable.

    The caretaker, Carla, made our stay extremely comfortable and the breakfast she arranged was excellent. She helped us find two wonderful restaurants. The room was very clean and the view was spectacular. Comfortable bed

    This is a terrific property. Very clean and comfortable, great facilities and much bigger than it looks on the outside. Location is terrific, very close to views of the mountains and of the lake. It's also easy to access by car and has good local amenities - a little grocer 2 mins walk away and the restaurant at the Hotel Sau Bento offers good food at decent value a 5 minute walk away. It's an ideal spot for exploring the Geres-Peneda National Park.

    Located very close to Geres and the hiking trails, good breakfast, friendly staff, room was very clean and comfortable, there was even a mini fridge in it.
