I just hope everyone coming to Madeira can experience this extraordinary house. Forget Funchal and its touristy chaos. Get a car, book Lombada house and explore the island from here.. Views are amazing. You look out any window you see the Ocean. The porch outside has a beautiful terrace like seated area, me and my wife just enjoyed every evening there, over some BBQ and wine. Yes there's a barbecue stove right outside and I bought a new mesh that you can use, left it in the kitchen. Speaking of the kitchen, imagine there was only a BBQ mesh missing... there's literally everything you'll ever need. Kettle, toaster, electric grill, blender, pans of all sizes which are all for induction only (no gas), Coffee maker, dishwasher, fridge freezer with ice and water dispenser... you name it. Beds are comfy and there's plenty of room for like 2 or 3 couples. Bathroom nice and clean with fresh towels provided. Washing machine and tumble dryer came in handy as well. There's a shop down the road that has pretty much everything you'll need. And a couple of nice cafes and bars in town. I was scared I'll have to drive a lot to visit my planned spots around the island but it was so central between all of them, the farthest was about less than an hour drive, since we were located approximately in the center of the island on the north coast. People that are visiting without the ability to rent a car, I would say you can still book this place as it's quiet and big and has great views, plus there's a bus service just outside going to funchal and other major destinations. Loved it. Will definitely stay there again.

The house is literary at the ocean. One can wake up and go to sleep with waves and early morning till late evening sun! Nice and green territory, great and perfectly located swimming pool, large terraces and territory nearby but good hidden from street. Large windows that can be opened so that the terrace enlarges the room. Very cozy furnished and very well-equipped inner rooms with some design chairs, sofas and dishes. Separate playroom in basement floor with piano and tv. There are some nice levadas around and possibility to walk or bike almost till Porto Moniz near the ocean from here if one can manage some short rock damaged road parts.

Nice, calm, safe place, many rooms, lot of space, many useful solutions and amenities such as heaters, blankets (we were there in January and some people needed them, although others didn't), splitters in sockets, hangers in wardrobes, hooks for hanging towels. Nice equiped kitchen. Please be careful to remove all the fresh food as ants appears suddenly ( it was no issue for us at all as we hide the fresh and opened food to fridge).

One of the best places we stayed during our holiday in Madeira. The apparent is spacious enough, tidy, comfortable and well equipped, we really didn't miss anything. Only perhaps the terrace might have some shade - it's hardly possible to have breakfast there because of the morning sun. The view from the apartment to the ocean and steep rocks is stunning, I hardly imagine that you could have better view in Madeira. Public pool (free to use) with a small pool for children is just across the street, so it's a great spot for swimming and sunbathing, and also has a restaurant. The village is also very calm and nice, has a few places to eat, the best of which is just a block up the hill. The location is great for exploring the island by car. We really enjoyed our stay here and would surely recommend it.
