Whether it was the early morning mist gently curling around the peaks or the radiant sunset painting the sky with fiery hues, every moment was a sensory feast. The hiking trails are a paradise for nature lovers. Each trail in the Cirque de Lescun offers a unique perspective of the landscape, from gentle paths that meander through the valley to challenging routes that ascend the lofty summits. The 'Tour des Aiguilles d'Ansabère' was a personal highlight, with its incredible panoramic view of the pyrenean chain. The well-marked trails ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for hikers of all levels. Besides its natural allure, Lescun is steeped in rich local culture. The villagers are warm and welcoming, always ready with a friendly smile and a story to share. The local cuisine is a delight for the palate, featuring hearty dishes like local cheeses. I stayed at a quaint house that was the epitome of rural charm with large car parks which it’s highly recommended in this village with narrow streets. Cirque de Lescun is a place that both inspires and heals. It’s a place where the ruggedness of the mountains meets the gentleness of the valley, creating a landscape that is as serene as it is untamed.

Lovely property in a lovely village location. The Gite has excellent views across the valley, with a wonderful large balcony to soak up the sun, relax and enjoy the tranquillity; and a garden and patio to the rear. Nice large comfy sofa for evening relaxing. This Gite was ideal for our biking holiday, perfect location to tick off all the great bike climbs, and also to visit other local towns and villages. You can also walk into Agelez Gazost the walk or run is up pretty much up all the way but enjoyable. We would stay here again.

A fantastic gite in a great location for cycling, modern, clean and well kept, all the modern kitchen equipment you will ever need to make your stay easy, a patio with barbeque, tables chairs and parasol, off road parking and storage for a couple of bicycles. The air conditioning was great for the hot weather too. Jean-Claude has been very helpful, a great host and very quick to respond and help with any questions.
