Owner was easy to connect with and kind. Had everything we needed. You could tell they wanted guests to be comfortable, anticipated needs.

It is off-grid, compact, well designed, and had everything I needed. I loved the screened in porch with a view of the ocean. It was so quiet and peaceful - I slept great there. It is off the beaten track but easy to find - a little sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of tourism. Yet is is not far from Kealakekua, Captain Cook town, Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park, and Ho`okena Beach. I enjoyed meeting and talking with Arthur, the host. I plan to stay there the next time I visit my family nearby.

There was a record player with old Hawaiian vinyl records that added to the mood, and a gorgeous bathroom that we really appreciated after camping. Even the overhead fan was hand carved to suit the Hawaiian castaway oasis aesthetic. Gilligans Island, eat your heart out. Now you can feel like you have been shipwrecked on a deserted island but with all the luxuries! The open air kitchen was spotlessly clean, with all the amenities and a morning visit by a friendly hen who left us a fresh egg - look under the stove, near the microwave for a breakfast egg delivery!

This holiday home features air-conditioned accommodation with a patio. The property features a year-round outdoor pool with a fence and is situated 2 km from Mauna Lani Beach. Wonderful accommodations with plenty of extras. Well stocked kitchen with up to date appliances and cookware. The unit has beautiful views all around and close to everything. Towels and a multitude of beach stuff was available to use. We enjoyed exploring the trail through the historic site to the fishponds to the private beach. The unit provided a detailed book about everything you can do. Communication was excellent and I never had to wait more than a few hours for a response. Definitely would highly recommend.
