Maekok River Resort is a 1.5-hour drive from Chiang Rai Airport and a 3-hour drive from Chiang Mai Town. Maekok River Village is an excellent place to stay. The kids loved do work out in the Gim, Volleybal, and even an Archery class. The Garden is beautifully maintained. We did a guided walking tour in the area, which ended in a boat trip up the river.
