Very convenient location for exploring the Beaujolais area. The accommodation is brand new, immaculate and very clean indeed. The hosts were amazing, they really helped us out during our stay for which we are very grateful! They were very responsive to messages before our arrival and then helped us when we arrived. Veronique et Christophe sont tres gentile. The house is very modern and new. We feel very welcome. The room, bathroom and house are very clean, nice and spacious. There is a supermarket nearby. The location is in a quiet neighborhood near the Saone. It is very nice to sit on the terras and have dinner or the perfect breakfast that Veronique is making. You can have a nice talk with Christophe and Veronique if you want. If you want privacy, you can sit on your own terras in the garden. We certainly want to come again with these warm hearted people.

We had a fantastic stay! The accommodation is located amongst vines and is so tranquil. We went to some nearby vineyards for tastings. The rooms are lovely with everything you need. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We had dinner at the property one evening and it was delicious. They served us a beautiful salad, dumpling ragout & an incredible cheese board. Spending time with their beautiful dogs topped off the stay for us! NB. Not all vineyards open when they say. Chateau de Pizay is worth a visit, it does a self guided wine tasting for €10 - it is a beautiful property & you get to keep the wine glass

Highly recommend staying here! Why stay in a hotel with impersonal service when you can have: an idyllic setting, charming hosts, super clean rooms, homemade breakfasts, picture perfect yard, and even a pool if it’s warm enough! All for a lower price too. It was a shame we only stayed one night as we were captivated by the gorgeous sunset when we arrived at Le Moulin de l’Etang. Wish we could’ve stayed longer to enjoy more sunsets. Do yourself a favor and book your stay here to have an authentic French experience.
