We loved absolutely everything! As a huge Beatrix Potter fan it was amazing to stay in an actual cottage that was featured in a few of her books. The historical factor, how pretty the cottage is both inside and out, the décoré, the location! It was all so beautiful- not a single fault to be had. And Robert, the fantastic owner, is one in a million.

The room was easily accessible, no check in/out was required. It was clean and comfortable and would have loved to stay longer. I stayed in a single room which was located in a very peaceful area of the grounds. The room was well presented, the bed was comfy, the tcmf was fantastic and they even had a little fridge. I would definitely stay there again .

Lovely hostel with friendly staff and options for dinner upon arrival. Great value for money and good stop off if you're walking the Cumbria Way. Theres a lovely little lounge area downstairs where you can cosy up with a book as well as grab a drink. Breakfast was a tenner but worth it and they accommodated me with veggie sausages 😁

Super lovely host met us upon arrival and showed us the apartment, which was spotless and fitted out to a high standard. I have top say the mattress's were excellent, not the usual wafer thin poundland mattress most palces have. Everyone got a good nights sleep.
